  • Abstract
    This paper focuses on a design of UAV video compression system based on H.264 encoding algorithm, and a high performance video compression equipment implementation based on Davinci platform. UAV is a sort of advanced low-cost, highly flexible platform, which has already been universally applied in domains such as earth observation and disaster relief work. In order to encode its huge real time video data, we need an outstanding video compression system. According to the characteristics of UAV video, the system requires an algorithm which has high-resolution and compression ratio, capability of inhibit errors, and motion compensation. H.264 encoding algorithm can well meet these requirements.
