Abstract
In this paper, we present a Direct Torque and Flux Control (DTFC) scheme of an induction motor operating with a stator resistance PI estimator. The variation of stator resistance due to changes in temperature or frequency degrades the performance of this control strategy, and therefore is a big issue of DTFC. In order to solve this issue, a method of stator resistance estimation using a proportional-integral (PI) estimator based on the stator current has been evaluated and compared. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
