  • Abstract
    A new type of generating device namely antiparallel four-bar linkage for non-sinusoidal oscillation of the mold in continuous casting is developed and the prototype is manufactured of a whole oscillation system with cascaded whole-leaf spring guidance mechanism driven by the new device. Further more, dynamic model of the whole system is built and the differential equation of motion is deduced, which shows this is a dynamic system with periodic time-varying parameters. And elastic vibration rules of this system are analyzed by using harmonic balance method. Then the reason of serious elastic vibration occurring is studied.
