Abstract :
This paper presents a fully differential baseband circuit with an offset-cancellation scheme implemented in a 0.13-¿m BiCMOS technology. It is part of a receiver for ultra-wideband short-range radar sensor. The circuit consists of a two-stage variable-gain amplifier with a novel digital gain control technique and an offset-compensated integrator. The variable-gain amplifier, which operates up to 1 GHz, features a maximum gain of 36 dB with 30-dB gain-control range in six steps.
