Abstract :
The creation of instantaneous vectors from bipolar electrograms is automated and a movie plot consisting of a sequence of video frames displaying vectors of activation at different points in time is presented to characterize the patterns of cardiac activation in normal and diseased tissue. Preliminary studies were undertaken to test the system with normal canine hearts using single site mapping. In addition to standard isochronal and maximum vector map displays, the program generates a cinegraphic display of vectors of activation at different times, thereby tracking the entire cardiac cycle
