Abstract
The conduction of a nonpolar polar liquid filling a cylindrical capacitor has been theoretically investigated. The liquid is assumed to possess a residual conductivity due to the dissociation of ionic pairs in the bulk of the fluid. The effect of the electric field upon the dissociation rate is considered, as well as the injection of charge carriers form the inner electrode. The contribution of the injected current and the dissociation current to the total current intensity are compared in the case when both are present
