Abstract :
The bistatic scatter cross sections for 2-dimensional random rough surfaces are obtained using the full wave approach. Since the surface element scattering coefficients are slope dependent, the surface height/slope correlations need to be accounted for in the analysis. The paper is an extension of previous work dealing with the scatter cross sections for 1-dimensional surfaces (Bahar, 1991; Bahar and Lee, 1993).
