Abstract :
An emblem is a symbolic sign to represent an organization or merchandise. We think that there is correlation between a brand image and an emblem that contains ethos. In this study, we focused attention on the emblems of the universities from all kinds of ones and conducted the questionnaire about the emblems. Moreover we performed electroencephalography (EEG) to investigate how subjects recognized and judged concepts of emblems. From results of this study, we hope to suggest the indexes for designing the emblems in the future.
