Abstract
In this paper, we develop an approach for detecting Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) occurred in wireless environment based on signal analysis, where wavelet transform and packet analysis cooperate for an efficient detection. The main function of this approach is performed by an entity called radio supervisor, which can be implemented in any node of the wireless network. Radio supervisor is able to detect distributed DoS via a signal-based correlation scheme that we provide for the circumstance. Functions and features of the proposed approach are studied through simulation analysis.
