Abstract
In this paper, the framework of variations in technology efficiency is proposed based on stochastic frontier production function. And then this paper measures the contributions of different factors to Chinapsilas telecommunications industry temporal variation of technology efficiency from 1992 to 2005. The results show that: (1) technology efficiency ratio, the total factor productivity ratio, and the capital-technology efficiency ratio show the trend of convergence significantly, while the labor-technology efficiency ratio shows small fluctuation margin; (2) The total factor productivity, capital-technology efficiency ratio, labor-technology efficiency ratio and technology level´s variation have great impacts on the technology efficiency variation; (3) The difference of impacts of total factor productivity and technology level on technology efficiency is expanding, while the difference of impacts of capital-technology efficiency and labor-technology efficiency is stable; (4) The coupling of the factors is highly relevant to the technology efficiency.
