Abstract :
A nonlinear analysis of a fully-integrated inductance-capacitance Voltage Controlled Oscillator (LC-VCO) is presented. Closed-form expressions for both the amplitude and the harmonics of oscillation are derived, as well as for the frequency tuning curve and the frequency sensitivity to variations of the supply-voltage. The accuracy of presented formulae is validated by circuit simulations.
