Abstract
This paper describes a method for using the calculated velocity profiles for pulsatile flow in a rigid tube to generate color Doppler images. The velocity at each radial position in the tube is color encoded according to magnitude and direction of the flow. The resulting simulated color Doppler images can be used to analyze the influence of different machine settings, such as frame rate, on flow estimation based the interpretation of color flow ultrasound images
