Abstract :
Concerning various aspects in the field of electromagnetic theory and education the interaction between electromagnetic fields and conducting structures is of special interest. Conducting structures in this context for example are conducting surfaces and particularly transmission lines. Transmission lines can serve as receiving antennas and dependent on the line parameters and the radiation frequency caused by the propagating line voltage, resulting in current waves. These effects are not represented transmission line theory. It is shown that it exist a possibility of describing these losses as an additive homogeneous ohmic resistance per unit length.
