Abstract :
A device was studied experimentally, which consists of two helical flux compression generators (FCG) connected with each other by means of cylindrical step-up transformer and explosive piezogenerator (EPG) being a power source of the first cascade. Test results are given for a cascade FCG which, being powered by EPG with initial energy 6 J, produces magnetic energy 410 kJ in the load 30 nH.
