Abstract :
Computer-aided design (CAD) formulas capable of accurately predicting the resonant frequencies of microstrip antennas are very useful to antenna engineers. For the case of rectangular and triangular patches and rectangular patches with superstrate, CAD formulas based on curve-fitting the data obtained from moment method full wave analysis have been developed. We present such formulas for the wideband TM/sub 12/ mode of an annular-ring patch with and without superstrate.
