  • Abstract
This article introduces a method of the connecting rod structural´s finite element analysis and optimizatiion. Combining with 6120Q-1 model diesel engine connecting rod, a model of connecting rod mechanism is built by CATIA at the same time. By loading, press distribution on joining areas of connecting rod, stress distribution and strength of connecting rod are derived to optimize the design of the connecting rod. According to the finite element analysis results, by changing the safety factors we get a precept adapt to the 6120Q-1.
