Abstract :
A discussion is presented of the time-domain inverse scattering problem for the case in which the electric dipole is located above a one-dimensional inhomogeneous layered medium. The inversion algorithm proposed for determining the permittivity and conductivity profiles is not mathematically exact but is simple and practical.<>
