Abstract :
This paper begins by summarising the problems that have been encountered in addressing human factors within London Underground (LU). In particular, an emphasis is placed upon the Jubilee Line extension project, which has been the prime mover for the development of the standard. The rationale behind the standard and its detailed contents are then described. Some feedback on its initial usage is then outlined, along with conclusions regarding the planned future development of human factors within LU
