  • Abstract
The demand for high speed, safety and automation of railway transportation requires that the track geometry inspection equipment must be automated. The track geometry real-time inspection system (TGRIS) provides accurate information on rail geometry using an inertial platform real-time digital signal processing, and relevant technology. The basic measurements taken are the vertical and horizontal accelerations, and vertical irregularities of the two rails, and cant, which is the real altitude difference between the two rail running surfaces
