Abstract :
Precisely positioning of the dummy is the necessarily guarantee of the accuracy of testing data in real vehicle collision test. This paper discussed the deficiency of the international general dummy positioning method by using portable FARO three-dimensional coordinate instrument and then developed the portable two-dimensional positioning device. This device can provide an accurate and easy way to handle dummy positioning. The testing data gotten by using this device has been recognized by ADAC, the famous EuroNCAP accreditation center.
