Abstract :
In this paper a Unified Product Model for mechatronic product development is given, which can support system-oriented and cross-domain modeling. Firstly the typical problems in mechatronic product development are analyzed. Secondly a Unified Product Model for mechatronic product development is put forward as well as its formalizing description, which consists of Use-Case, WSP, CSS, Functional Flow. The method of applying the Unified Product Model is given. Thirdly a simple example is introduced to illustrate the main ideas. Finally, the conclusions and some topics for future research are given.
