Abstract :
A modified truncated square patch antenna of different quad L-shaped slits having electromagnetic coupling feed operating at S-band has been presented. The antennas are compact in size and exhibits linear polarization, in comparison to its basic truncated patch that has circular-polarization capability. It was found that all configurations operate well at their frequencies of operations, however, lower than the desired 2.45 GHz. Hence, the antennas are operating with much smaller size at the desired frequency of operation.
