Abstract
The problems of controlling the flying boom are studied. Based on the analysis of the boom mathematical model, it´s indicated that the system must be decoupled in order to be better controlled. As a result of the model possess zeros located on the right half side of the S domain, the non-cancellation decoupling design method are proposed to realizing the control of the boom air-refueling. Simulation results of a two inputs and two outputs coupled object are also given. The simulation results obtained by Matlab/Simulink show that the coupling effect of the boom air-refueling system is commendably eliminated by non-cancellation decoupling method and it´ll meet the needs of controlling the flying boom.
