  • Abstract
    Based on CFD technology, the three-dimension transient numerical simulation of single-phase turbulence flow in the hydraulic retarder was performed by sliding mesh theory with using the standard k-¿ turbulence model and the SIMPLEC algorithm simutaneously. Through the numerical calculation, the internal characteristics of velocity and pressure distribution were analyzed The braking torque was also calculated and the results are in good agreement with the experiment.
