Abstract :
Aiming at the dynamic design of large belt conveyor with vertical curves, the force analysis on its curving parts was done and the dynamic model was established by adopting continuum model. The dynamic model solution method was presented by fully taking the variable load of conveyor into account. Through simulation on a real system with variable load during the process of starting and braking, a conclusion was drawn that the dynamic characteristic of belt conveyor with variable load is more complex than that of belt conveyor with invariable load. There are some problems in the primary design project of the belt conveyor and the solving method is proposed.
