Abstract :
The author uses the finite-element method to compute the aperture admittance matrix of a cavity. Numerical results for the aperture field excited by a plane wave normally incident on a 2-D cavity-backed aperture on a ground plane are also included. Although only 2-D TE cases are considered, the approach can be easily generalized for more complicated problems.<>
