Abstract
Methods based on integral quadratic constraints (IQC) have hitherto been used mainly in an analysis context. In this paper we propose a means by which IQC may be used in conjunction with the ν-gap metric as a control design tool. In particular, we show how it is possible to calculate the “distance” between a nonlinear plant, known to satisfy a number of IQC, and a linear time-invariant nominal model
