Abstract
In this paper a measure system for cutting force is described detail and used to measure cutting force on diamond mill when milling granite. The cutting forces in granite process is influenced significantly by cutting parameters such as rotational speed of spindle, feed rate, depth of cut. The cutting forces rise slowly after mill begins to contact granite then it will reach to a constant value. Cutting forces rise with the increase in the depth of cut, feed rate in the cutting process of granite, but cutting force will reduce with increase in rotational speed of spindle. In general, cutting force Fx in feed direction is larger than Fy in depth of cut direction and max sum force FΣ in cutting.
