  • Abstract
An adaptive filter is presented that can be used in real-time applications, based on a maximum-a-posterior (MAP) estimation technique. This approach is a linear combination of smooth solution and acquired data. The performance of this filter was assessed with simulated and actual electrocardiogram data. It is shown that the results are superior to smoothed data, preserving high-frequency components. Assuming the same conditions, the MAP solution coincides with the Wiener solution
