Abstract :
This article presents the Raman spectroscopy analysis of a polymeric, flexible and electrically conductive material which can be used to fabricate a dry ECG electrode. For the development of this material, polyaniline (Pani) was used as main matrix, the host matrix was an acrylic resin; and the material was reinforced with carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) doped with Ag, and functionalized with Cl. It was found that the final composite material (FCM) had an electric resistance of 1000 Ω and an electrical conductivity of 0,002 S cm-1 for a material area of 0,01 m2. This FCM is being tested as a dry electrode for a new ECG system which is also being developed at the Centro de Bioingenieria of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana.
