Abstract :
A parasitic-aware design methodology based on particle swarm optimization is presented. It is shown that parasitic-aware design using the particle swarm rather than using the simulated annealing heuristic gives better performance. The proposed parasitic-aware design methodology is advantageous due to its inherent efficiency to synthesize RF circuits with parasitic-laden passive components, and it regains the performance of RF circuits with ideal components.
