Abstract
In this paper two eigenfllter methods are proposed to design FIR digital synthesis filters for hybrid-filter-bank analog-to-digital converters. With given analog analysis filters, the FIR synthesis filters are obtained by the computation of an eigenvector of an appropriate real, symmetric, and positive-definite matrix. In the conventional eigenfllter method based on least-squares error criterion, a reference point is needed, while the eigenfllter method based on total least error criterion does not require this choice. A design example is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
