Abstract :
Beam scanning reconfigurable antenna is used as an element in linear phased arrays to enhance the performance or add new capabilities. Performance study has been carried out using full-wave EM simulation on this type of arrays, aligned in both E-plane and H-plane. The usage of a dual-strip reconfigurable antenna element in phased arrays allows side lobe level (SLL) reduction at wider scanning angle for H-plane alignment and two dimensional beam scanning for E-plane alignment.
