Abstract :
In this paper, a CAM-based header translation and traffic control chip is proposed. This chip can be used in the implementation of a user network interface (UNI) and a network network interface (NNI) for ATM systems. The main functions of this chip are ATM header translation, and traffic policing and gathering for every VCI/VPI
