Abstract :
A new type of ER fluid engine mount with ring orifice was designed by analyzing the vibration isolating characteristic and the existence problems of the traditional ER fluid engine mount The mechanical and mathematical models for the ER fluid engine mount were build and simulated by Matlab/Simulink The vibration isolating characteristics of ER fluid engine mount were studied under different electric field intensities and design parameters of the ring orifice.
