Abstract
An attempt was made to characterize the cellular radio channel from the data transmission point of view and to study the performance of the FSK and GTFM modulation schemes for data transmission. The results were achieved by implementation of hardware and software simulation systems, taking into account the effects of multipath fading, adjacent and cochannel interference, and noise. Several error control techniques were evaluated
