Abstract
This paper is devoted to the investigation of model synthesis problems for quasioptical systems with diffraction gratings as frequency selective elements. For some model structures we construct the electrodynamic models and optimize them in accordance with the operation requirements. As a result of the optimization process we get a set of requirements imposed on complex amplitudes of diffraction spectrum of gratings. By this means we reduce the model synthesis of the system involved to the solution of the inverse synthesis problem for a periodic grating
