Abstract
In this paper a new method of applied electrodynamics for solving two-dimensional non-coordinate problems is described. This technique is a development of the method of the product of elliptical regions. The class of problems under consideration includes the exterior problems of wave diffraction on the systems of rectilinear semi-infinite screens and interior electrodynamics problems of computing waveguide discontinuities, the geometry of which supposes description in some local Cartesian frames
