Abstract :
A new directly manipulated algorithm of rigid body displacement constrained deformation, abbreviated as RBDCD, is proposed in this paper. It\´s based on the idea of freeform deformation (FFD), but replaces the concept of "free-form" by introducing the rigid body displacement as constraints to adapt to industrial requirements. RBDCD also omits the general process of parameterization in traditional methods of FFD and saves much time cost on calculation.
