Abstract
A small dual-band microstrip patch antenna array is presented. It consists of 4 multilayer stacked patches with U-shaped slots. It covers the UMTS and HIPERLAN/2 bands and can be used in MIMO antenna applications. An array prototype has been designed, fabricated and tested. Good agreement has been obtained between numerical simulations and experimental results.
