Abstract
In this paper, the RD model for the foundation, through image and ephemeris data combined adjustment that the space-borne SAR image rigorous geo-location model with sparse GCP was built. Taking three conjoint images of one TerraSAR strip in eastern Himalayas, which elevation between 2800 m and 5500 m, as test data, positioning test carried separately on different GCPs and different orbit refined model. The result shown that horizontal positioning precision was 20 m when one GCP, which was far higher than the 700 m under the condition of no GCP, and few images in one continuous strip with a set of linear polynomial orbit refined model could satisfied the space-borne TerraSAR image positioning with sparse GCP.
