Abstract :
Summary form only given. The semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) has become a key component of fiber optics communication system (FOCS). The SOA can successfully compete with other types of amplifiers. Different SOA are broadly applied in telecommunications, as well as in local computer networks where FOCS are available. By means of computer modelling the investigation of the SOA is carried out on the basis of a known mathematical model. The SOA operation is presented by differential equations, which describe a rate of photons p(t) and carriers n(t) densities that change in time
