Abstract

This paper shows the evaluation of a vulnerable area that influences an industry supplied through a long radial 230 kV transmission system in the Northeast of Brazil. It shows also a comparison between several alternatives on the supplier side, such as increasing the short-circuit power and decreasing short circuit current. Although these are not the most economical solutions, it is well known that the better solutions are on the customer side; they give a good idea of the influence of the transmission and distribution on the quality of energy supplied
