Abstract :
Spectral reflectance of soil is compositive reflection of soil physicochemical characters and inherent structure. Soil samples were collected, then reflectance of original soil samples were measured in Hailun County. Quantitative relationship between soil organic matter (SOM) content and the soil spectral reflectance in ASTER image in 2004 and spectral reflectance in field were developed, so the estimation model of SOM was built to map SOM using ASTER image of study area. And mapping SOM using TM image in 1986 was showed, too. So the decreasing in SOM content is displayed directly about 20 years in Hailun County. Our research concluded that the model provides a relatively rapid, cost-effective, and accurate way to map the content of SOM for the land management. The results will help to research soil decrease in northeast China.
