Abstract
Summary form only given. The location of the leaky wave poles of the grounded dielectric substrate is of particular importance in the analysis of printed structures. This is especially true in techniques like the moment method which involve infinite integrals of the Green´s function. This is turn presents poles at both the surface (proper) wave poles and the leaky (improper) wave poles. Thus, the location of both mode types poles is important in order to define the desired path of integration. For the same reasons the surface and leaky wave modes should be carried out for grounded magnetized ferrite substrates. The planar case with the DC-bias parallel to the ground plane and transverse to the propagation direction is presented by Baccarelli, Nallo, Frezza, Galli and Lampariello (1996). The corresponding study for the cylindrical substrates is of primary importance, since there is an increase research effort toward the conformal printed circuits and antennas. This is exactly the aim of the present work
