Abstract :
Knowledge of cloud water content is needed for solution of different theoretical and practical tasks, including creation of artificial precipitation, hail protection, study of cloud formation etc. For the most applications it is necessary to have information about cloud water content in real time over the large areas. In this connection remote sensing has obvious advantages over contact methods (sounding balloon or airplane sounding). The goal of present paper is to study the influence of nonuniform vertical profile of water content on the results of passive sensing of cloud.
