Abstract
In this paper, we present an intelligent surveillance system that supports autonomous camera collaboration. We applied the multiple independent levels of security to constructing the region of interest in the monitoring area using autonomous cameras. To determine the security level, we developed various methods to recognize abnormal situation such as camera tampering and violence. To track moving an object continuously, a camera locks onto a target object in a real-time. Our system tracks across multiple cameras with both overlapping and non-overlapping fields of view using automatic topology construction. In addition, we implemented a safety index map and a 2D map using Google Earth API functions for effective monitoring.
