Abstract :
A novel fluid suction tool for capsular endoscope is presented. The proposed suction tool integrates microheater, azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) matrix, Venturi tube, and container. The microheater heats AIBN to be decomposed to nitrogen gas which generates negative pressure at the Ventrui tube. The negative pressure inhales the gstro-intestinal juice into the container. The fabricated suction tool is the cylindrical shape with ¿ 15mm × H 4.5 mm for the integration with a capsule. The pumping capability is approximately 14 ¿l in less than 3 seconds using approximately 21 ¿l AIBN matrix. The supplied power is 7 V × 480 mA.
