  • Abstract
The fault diagnosis method presented in this paper represents the main part of a hierarchical decision support system (DSS) which was developed in the framework offered by the EUREKA MAINE EU996 DIALOGS project. The method illustrates the algorithmic redundancy concept using in parallel two FDI methods based on balance equations. The first method uses standardized unbalanced residuals for fault detection, and structural analysis for fault isolation. The second method uses standardized least-squares residuals for fault detection and isolation
