Abstract :
Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are a particular type of ad hoc network, in which the network nodes are smart sensors. These sensors are tiny, battery powered devices equipped with advanced sensing functionalities, a small processor, and a short-range wireless transceiver. In WSN, sensors exchange information on the environment in order to build a global view of the monitored region, which is made accessible to the external user through one or more sink node(s). Due to the lifetime of such sensors depend mainly on the lifetime of their unrechargeable batteries, it is essential to utilize them in the most efficient way. In this paper, we propose an efficient data routing protocol for wireless sensor networks. The proposed routing protocol chooses the path with maximum available power for data routing. Simulation results indicate clearly that compared to the routing protocol proposed in, our proposed protocol balances using all network resources and thus maximizing the network life time.
